Self-cleaning Glass
Available on clear and tinted substrates (eg blue, green and grey), our self-cleaning glass is the perfect product for situations where cleaning is difficult or costly, such as high-rise buildings, glass roofs or conservatories.
How the “self-cleaning” coating works:
This is off-line coated (magnetron sputter vacuum deposition -MSVD) self-cleaning glass with photocatalytic and hydrophilic properties, which is made by sputtering a layer of transparent TiO2 photocatalytic film. When the UV rays pass through the glass, the catalyst of the self-cleaning coating “oxidise” the organic compounds. The dust and organic dirt that have accumulated on the external surface of the glass are automatically “decomposed”. When it rains, the residues are washed and removed.
BENEFITS
Cleans naturally by rain and UV rays from natural daylight
Reduces the need for manual cleaning, saves effort and cleaning costs
Can be used in monolithic or used in IGU (on surface #1) with Low E coating on surface #3
Can be heat treated, curved and laminated
